A Structured Approach to Problem-solving

Activity description

This educational session is designed to be both engaging and highly beneficial for Continuous Quality Coordinators (CQCs) with a blend of didactic instruction and hands-on experience focusing on the principles and practices of structured problem-solving. A process of accurately identifying the root causes of problems, utilizing a standardized approach to enhance problem-solving effectiveness and efficiency will be highlighted. These skills and techniques are constructed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of problem resolution and to foster a collaborative and productive work environment. 

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nurses who are interested in learning about practical skills and actionable strategies that can be immediately applied to their roles, strengthening their problem-solving capabilities and enhancing team performance.

At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Define elements of a problem statement.
  • Develop SMART goals to address problem statement.
  • Explore problem solving tools.
