Developing Your Thought Leadership
Maya Angelou famously remarked, "There is no greater agony than bearing the untold story." No place is that sentiment truer than in health care, where the untold story can stymie meaning-making, scientific discovery and career advancement. Disseminating your ideas is more than just personally rewarding; it is professionally necessary. Publication in all its forms is essential to secure funding, galvanize support, engage stakeholders and climb ladders.
This activity will illuminate the power of story and offer practical steps to publish your piece, with tips to create a thought leadership strategy, develop story arcs, find your voice, engage collaborators, prepare manuscripts, manage the editorial process and keep your institutions in the loop (and out of the weeds).
