Activity Description
These activities consists of a recorded presentation from the "Medical Director and Clinician Leadership Forum 2025" held October 22, 2025, in Nashville, TN.
The Forum was designed for medical directors and other clinical executives/leaders working in the managed health care industry. During this one-day, live conference experts shared their insights into topics that are critical to the management of large patient populations. This year's Forum was dedicated to exploring the latest innovations and evidence-based research that drive excellence in patient care, enhance outcomes and optimize benefit management. Attendees acquired expert knowledge from leading voices in health care on the most pressing challenges in population health management.
Learning Objectives
At the end of these educational activities, participants should be able to:
- Incorporate the latest 2025 GOLD recommendations into clinical practice to improve early detection, diagnostic accuracy, and personalized treatment of COPD.
- Review the science, clinical applications and ethical considerations of gene therapy, with a focus on its transformative potential in treating genetic disorders such as sickle cell disease.

- Assess the bidirectional relationship between mental and physical health and promote integrated care models that improve outcomes for patients with complex needs.
- Identify the mechanisms, indications, and clinical benefits of GLP-1 agonists and integrate them effectively into care plans for patients with obesity and type 2 diabetes.
- Discuss how to enhance the early diagnosis of dementia, initiate patient-centered conversations, and implement comprehensive care strategies to support patients and families.
