Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and other health care professionals (HCPs) who are interested in learning about wound care management.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the signs and symptoms of poor pressure wound healing.
  • Explain how pressure wounds develop.
  • Identify the factors that contribute to pressure wound formation.
  • State strategies to prevent pressure wound formation.
  • Explore options to identify and treat pressure wounds.
  • Identify potential causes of pressure wounds by asking applicable questions and incorporate optimal management strategies.
