Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and other health care professionals (HCPs) who are interested in learning about prenatal care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the major elements of prenatal care that include risk assessment, health promotion, education, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Describe the prenatal screening methods used to identify individuals at risk for complications.
  • Outline treatment options and interventions used for healthy pregnancy outcomes.
  • State the importance of case management programs in prenatal care.
