Leadership Evolution: Change Management

Leadership Evolution is a virtual leadership activity series that will empower learners to engage in change and growth, improve performance and team relationships, and succeed in the business of health care. These sessions will focus on key aspects of change management within the leadership growth process, highlight core values essential to growth, and examine best practices in change management that align with strategic pillars within the enterprise. Current trends in health care and their relevance to leading change will be discussed. Participation in breakout sessions will enable learners to become familiar with and engage in strategies to define attainable and actionable improvement goals.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of counselors, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physicians, PAs, psychologists, social workers, therapists and other HCPs who are interested in leadership and change management.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify trends in health care and examine best practices in change management. 
  • Recognize the roles of trust, confidentiality, curiosity, choice and compassion in the leadership growth process. 
  • Articulate the importance of defining improvement goals and provide examples of actionable improvement goals for change and growth. 
  • Describe how testing limiting beliefs and receiving feedback can be used as tools to guide actions and promote change. 
  • Discuss approaches to leading and maintaining change that align with strategic pillars within the company.

Counselors and/or marriage and family therapists

Other States: If your state is not specifically listed, nearly all state Counselor and MFT boards accept either APA or ASWB approval, or are reciprocal with other state licensing board approvals, such as those listed below. Check with your board to be sure.
