Activity description

When health care providers have access to complete and accurate information, patients receive better medical care. Providers who have important health information about the patients they serve can look more meaningfully at the needs of patients. This lesson will explore the importance of accurate and efficient documentation.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nurse practitioners, PAs and physicians who are interested in learning about the electronic health records system Epic.

  • Discuss how to use a schedule for reviewing the pertinent information about your patient and the precharting process. 
  • Identify tools that can be used to increase productivity, efficiency and personal satisfaction.
