Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nurse practitioners, Pas and physicians who have an interest in otolaryngology.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the clinical differences between nonallergic rhinitis (NAR), seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR), and perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR).
  • Discuss the symptoms associated with patulous eustachian tube. 
  • Examine the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery guidelines on polysomnography in sleep disordered breathing.
  • Describe the negative health outcomes associated with hearing loss.
  • Identify whether the impact of smoking on chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is reversible after smoking cessation.
