This program is a series of monthly lectures, pertinent to primary care for new graduate advanced practitioners. The goal of this series is to provide an introduction to specific diagnoses, work ups and specialty content as it relates to primary care.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of all new graduate advanced practitioners, most commonly nurse practitioners and PAs practicing in the primary care setting.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss effective pharmacological interventions for the treatment of ADHD and highlight the dosage, monitoring parameters, contraindications, and side effects.
  • Describe the treatment options, dosages, monitoring parameters, contraindications, and side effects of Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and Serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) for Major Depressive disorder (MDD), General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and eating disorders.
