Target Audience

This program is a series of monthly lectures, pertinent to primary care for new graduate advanced practitioners. This series would give them an introduction to specific diagnoses, work ups, specialty content as it relates to primary care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Examine oral and injectable diabetes medications in the primary care setting.
  • Discuss primary care diagnosis and assessment of thyroid nodules.   
  • Describe management strategies of hypo/hyperthyroidism and recognize when a referral is necessary.
  • Determine the diagnosis of hypogonadism and identify when to refer to endocrinology.
