Series description

An increase in the number of children diagnosed with mental health conditions draws attention to the growing mental health crisis among children. Addressing children’s mental health is a high priority because untreated concerns lead to a variety of difficulties, including disruption of healthy development, added family stress, comorbid physical health issues, and social consequences. This webinar series will address practical approaches for pediatric primary care providers in identifying, treating and managing some of the most common mental health conditions experienced by children.

A Medical Home Model is a method to deliver and organize health care with the goal to provide patient care that is comprehensive, patient-centered, coordinated, accessible, and high quality. Integrating both medical and behavioral health clinicians to maximize effectiveness and efficiency in joint visits will also be highlighted as part of this series.
