Pediatric Anxiety Diagnosis, Management and Treatment (On Demand 2)

Activity description

These materials are only intended for those that have watched the materials from the live activity on March 27, 2023.

Anxiety disorders among adolescents are not uncommon and tend to increase in prevalence with age as individuals progress through childhood; prompt treatment is necessary to prevent detrimental outcomes later in life. In order to increase the comfort of primary care clinicians in the early identification of anxiety concerns in teenagers, this session will present an approach to screening for anxiety disorders using an evidence-based screening tool. Participants will gain skill-building insights into developing a differential diagnosis for anxiety disorder, completing safety screening when indicated, determining the appropriate level of intervention and developing a specialized follow-up plan for patients with identified anxiety.
