Over the past two decades, new medications approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have transformed the way multiple myeloma is treated. This progress is unmatched in any other type of cancer. Researchers expect the picture for people with multiple myeloma to improve even more as new drugs and drug combinations are studied in clinical trials. This session will discuss recent advances in pharmacologic treatment and the roll of stem cell transplantation for multiple myeloma.
