Achieving Value-Based Care: The Role of Oncology Clinical Pathways

May 20, 2021

Activity description

Oncology clinical pathways are defined by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) as detailed, evidence-based treatment protocols for specific disease types and stages that deliver high-quality cancer care. With the rapid approval of new anticancer therapies, along with the rising cost of cancer care, pathways serve a critical role in the delivery of high-quality and high-value cancer treatments while reducing unwarranted variation in care. This activity will discuss best practices in cancer care, provide an overview of the current status of pathways in oncology and explore their role in helping practices to deliver value-based care.
