Medicare - What Clinicians Need to Know

The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to understand eligibility, coverage options, premiums, and enrollment options for Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and Medicare supplement insurance plans.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to

  1. Define and understand eligibility, coverage options, premiums, and enrollment options for Medicare Parts A and B
  2. Define and understand eligibility, coverage options, premiums, and enrollment options for Medicare Part C, Medicare Part D, and Medicare supplement insurance plan
  3. List the steps a patient must take when a drug plan denies coverage of a prescribed medication
