Satellite symposia events will be taking place immediately following the 31st Annual National Conference at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington-Minneapolis South. Lunch will be served prior to the start of the program. These symposia are open to all attendees registered for the 31st Annual National Conference. There is no separate registration fee to attend.

Advances in Targeted Therapy for CLL: Venclexta® (Venetoclax) Clinical Update
Presented by: Bita Fakhri, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor, Hematology/Blood and Marrow Transplantation, University of California, San Francisco

This talk will provide an update on the new long-term efficacy and safety data for venetoclax in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and discuss patient and managed care considerations of a fixed treatment duration approach in CLL.

The Cutting Edge of Biomarker Technology: Utilization of OmniGraf in Clinical Practice
Presented by: John J. Friedewald, MD, Professor of Medicine and Surgery, Medical Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation, Northwestern Medical Group

This talk will deliver an overview of the evolution of molecular biomarkers for rejection in the management of kidney transplant patients. The differences between the various technologies (gene expression and donor derived cell-free DNA) and the applications of those tests will be highlighted. In addition, Dr. Friedewald will provide a vision for the use of the biomarkers in patient management and explore how they can impact and improve outcomes.
