Lipid Management: Approaches to and Implications of Elevated Lipid Profiles
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
This activity consists of a recorded presentation from the "34th Annual National Conference" held in Minneapolis, Minn., May 13-15, 2025.
This activity will focus on the latest approaches to managing elevated lipid profiles, emphasizing the importance of tailoring treatment to individual risk profiles as per the latest American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association (ACC/AHA) guidelines. We will discuss the role of both statin and non-statin lipid-lowering therapies in the primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), with a focus on the potential benefits of newer agents and the implications of Lipoprotein A (Lp(a)) for cardiovascular risk and emerging treatments targeting Lp(a).
