Series Description

Epic is an electronic health-records system, used by health care professionals, with a design to streamline and simplifying work in electronic health records. Unfortunately, not all providers are working to their full potential with Epic. This is due in part to initial Epic training, which was intentionally designed to require minimal instruction for documentation, order entry, chart review and in-basket management.

Based on the need for clinicians to update advanced user settings, learn to execute workflows in fewer steps, and discover other tips and tricks of using the system, Epic training programs are offered. The course content is designed to provide a means for efficiency and accuracy of documentation, increased compliance with regulatory documentation requirements, and refined skills with Epic, with the goal to increase proficiency and decrease after-hours time in Epic.
