This presentation will examine community-level grief and loss, with a special focus on the widespread impact of ecological grief, including loss stemming from environmental change, degradation, and disaster. Participants will deepen their understanding of how ecological grief shapes communities, affects institutions and systems, and challenges collective adaptation processes. The workshop will highlight contextual factors that complicate recovery and equip participants with practical strategies to support communal healing, promote resilience, and facilitate adaptation in the face of ongoing ecological loss.

This training explores the psychological and social factors that shape ethical behavior and decision-making in clinical practice. Participants will examine how emotions, cognitive biases, and social pressures—such as conformity and overconfidence—can influence ethical choices. Through practical examples and reflective exercises, learners will also analyze decision-making heuristics and design strategies to foster a clinical care culture that promotes ethical integrity and maintains professional boundaries.
