Conference Location and Accommodations

The 26th Annual National Conference will be held at the Marriott Downtown Chicago, situated on Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile among world-famous shops, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel is within walking distance of some of the Windy City's top attractions, including the beautiful lakefront, Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, Millennium Park, and theater and music districts. Maps and Transportation: The Marriott Downtown is approximately 12 miles from Chicago Midway International Airport and 15 miles from O'Hare International Airport and is easily accessible via taxi, subway, or airport shuttle. Parking: A parking discount is available to conference registrants. Overnight and short-term self-parking at the Marriott is $27. Vouchers to receive the discount for short-term parking will be available at the conference registration desk. For Marriott overnight guests, the discounted rate will be on your room bill, so you do not need a voucher.

Hotel Reservations • Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile

You are strongly encouraged to make your hotel reservation early. Once our group's block of rooms is sold out, it may be difficult to secure a downtown hotel reservation.

Hotel Discounted Room Rate: There are a limited number of rooms available for Saturday, Sept. 30 through Wednesday, Oct. 4 at a special conference rate of $259.00. Discounted guest room Internet is available for $1.00 (Rates are per room per night and subject to prevailing state and local taxes.) All reservations must be accompanied by a first-night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. Refer to your Marriott confirmation email for the cancellation policy.

Hotel Reservation Deadline: Extended to Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, or when rooms sell out, whichever comes first. You are strongly encouraged to make your reservation before the group block is released on Sept. 15. Reservations received after Sept. 15, or after the room block is sold out, will be accepted on a space-available basis at the prevailing room rate.

Conference Attire

Attire for the conference is business. Although every effort is made to maintain a comfortable learning environment, meeting room temperatures can fluctuate greatly and may be difficult to control. Since it is difficult to adjust meeting room temperatures to suit individual preferences, please bring a sweater or jacket, and/or wear layered clothing to ensure your comfort.
