The 23rd Annual National Conference will be held at the Marriott Downtown Chicago, situated on Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile among world-famous shops, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel is within walking distance of some of the Windy City's top attractions, including the beautiful lakefront, Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, Millennium Park, and theater and music districts. Maps and Transportation: The Marriott Downtown is approximately 12 miles from Chicago Midway International Airport and 15 miles from O'Hare International Airport and is easily accessible via taxi, subway, or airport shuttle. Parking: A parking discount is available to conference registrants. Overnight self-park at the Marriott is $26; Short-term self-park is $20. Vouchers to receive the discount for short-term parking will be available at the conference registration desk. For Marriott overnight guests, the discounted rate will be on your room bill, so you do not need a voucher.

You are strongly encouraged to make your hotel reservation early. Once our group's block of rooms is sold out, it may be difficult securing a downtown hotel reservation. Most of the downtown hotels are currently at or near capacity.
Hotel Discounted Room Rate: There are a limited number of rooms available for Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept. 11 at a special conference rate of $249.00 single–quad occupancy. (Tuesday, Sept. 9 and Friday, Sept. 12 are sold out!) Discounted guest room Internet is available for $1.00 (Rates are per room per night and subject to prevailing state and local taxes.) All reservations must be accompanied by a first-night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. Refer to your Marriott confirmation e-mail for the cancellation policy.
Hotel Reservation Deadline: Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, or when rooms sell out, whichever comes first (Note: Tuesday, Sept. 9 and Friday, Sept 12 are sold out). You are strongly encouraged to make your reservation before the group block is released on Aug. 18. Reservations received after Aug. 18, or after the room block is sold out, will be accepted on a space-available-basis at the prevailing room rate.

Program materials will be in electronic format. You will receive an e-mail on or around Sept. 4 with instructions on how to access the materials prior to the conference.
Business attire is suggested for the conference. Although every effort is made to maintain a comfortable learning environment, meeting room temperatures can fluctuate greatly and may be difficult to control. The temperature is often cool in the meeting room. Therefore, bringing along a jacket or sweater is recommended.
