In alignment with OBC’s 2025 clinical initiative to increase provider adoption of measurement-informed care, this course is designed to strengthen foundational knowledge and offer a step-by-step guide for implementing measurement-informed care (MIC) in clinical practice. Participants will explore the benefits of MIC, gain familiarity with commonly used measurement tools and learn strategies for integrating these measures into treatment sessions. Through real-world case examples and accompanying clinical rationale, learners will apply key concepts and enhance their ability to use MIC to improve patient engagement, experience and outcomes.

This activity will discuss a comprehensive overview of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) that covers diagnostic criteria, prevalence, and common challenges. Despite the increasing number of diagnoses, these disorders are still often misunderstood or missed by HCPs. Current treatment approaches, including behavioral therapies, medications, and educational interventions will be discussed. Practical applications of these treatment strategies will be illustrated and innovative research and future directions in the field will be highlighted.

Research suggests that high comorbidity exists between eating disorders (EDs) and PTSD. In fact, some studies report that up to 90% of individuals suffering from EDs have experienced at least one traumatic event in their lifetime. Those who enter ED treatment with co-occurring PTSD tend to exhibit more severe eating disorder pathology, poorer treatment outcomes, and higher relapse rates compared to those without PTSD. Historically, evidence-based treatment models for EDs have primarily focused on addressing ED symptoms and behaviors, often overlooking co-occurring psychological conditions such as PTSD. However, in recent years, there has been growing recognition within the field of eating disorder treatment of the limitations of this approach. As a result, there is increasing emphasis on integrating evidence- based PTSD treatments into ED treatment to better support individuals with this dual diagnosis. This activity will explore the intersection of EDs and trauma, examine what current research reveals about their co-occurrence and discuss strategies for effectively addressing this complex comorbidity within treatment settings.
