It will elaborate on the mental health effects of this disease and the relationship between diagnosis, treatment, and positive health outcomes. Interventional strategies, both preventive and treatment-based, will be discussed and will include a focus on the responsibilities and stressors that affect caregivers. Best practices that include improved communication among health care professionals, support for caregivers, and the integration of social/community support services will also be examined.
