Global Is Local! How Does Global Health Impact Us?

Activity description

The world is facing multiple health challenges. These range from outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases like measles and diphtheria, increasing reports of drug-resistant pathogens, and growing rates of obesity and physical inactivity to the health impacts of environmental pollution and climate change and multiple humanitarian crises.

This panel discussion will focus on how the global burden of disease and human mobility are affecting U.S. health care professionals (HCPs) and institutions, the current shift of thinking to “Global Is Local” and how improving global health can improve health in the U.S.
