Finding Your Joy in Practice Again

February 13, 2019

Activity description

Health care professionals (HCPs) have a common goal of positively impacting patient care through the safe delivery of high-quality health care. They have a unique opportunity to create an environment wherein they touch the lives of many individuals and truly embrace the theme of ‘it is more than just a job’. They should feel enlivened by the work they do and the impact they have. However, feelings of emotional exhaustion and decreased empathy, a lack of feeling of professional accomplishment, loss of work fulfillment and reduced effectiveness can creep in. This activity will help HCPs and leaders learn the signs to look for, how to communicate about such feelings and how to develop organizational and individual strategies to find joy in practice once again.
