Get-Acquainted Reception

Please join us for a reception at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Campus. Enjoy complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres as you visit with your colleagues from Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) and University of Washington School of Medicine, as well as get acquainted with other conference participants.

Tour—Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center

You are invited to tour Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center campus. The one-hour tour will start at 6 p.m. Additional information on where to meet and specifics of the tour will be made available at the conference.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institution devoted to the elimination of cancer through research, prevention, and treatment. Founding members of the Hutchinson Center are credited with pioneering bone-marrow transplantation as a successful treatment for leukemia and other blood diseases. The Center has approximately 200 research groups in five scientific divisions that collaborate to conduct basic and applied sciences focused on cancer and other fatal diseases.

Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is a cancer treatment center that unites the adult and pediatric cancer-care programs of the Hutchinson Center, UW Medicine and Seattle Children’s. Together they comprise the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in a six-state region, from Washington to the Dakotas. SCCA’s goal—every day—is to turn cancer patients into cancer survivors. Their purpose is to lead the world in the prevention and treatment of cancer.
