New Approaches to Treating Multiple Myeloma

This educational activity consists of recorded presentations from Advances in the Management of Oncology Patients held in Orlando,Florida on April 6-8, 2011.
Despite the progress in treating multiple myeloma over the past decade, the survival rate for these patients remains poor. There continues to be a critical need for more effective treatments and new approaches to treating this hematologic disease. While there is no cure yet for myeloma, new treatments have enabled patients to experience more time between relapse and fewer side effects when receiving treatment. This presentation will describe the best treatment options currently available for multiple myeloma and factors to consider that may impact outcomes.
