Incorporating Wellness and Disease Management Programs: Keys to Building a Culture of Health

The goal of an effective health management program is to deliver a positive return on investment (ROI), effectively contain health care costs and promote health and wellness. To do this involves creating a culture of health that is supportive of employee behavior change while developing and implementing a health management program with strong ROI. Companies that are searching for ways to slow medical cost increases, keep their employees healthy, and maintain a productive and competitive workforce are now focusing on both prevention and disease management, resulting in a total-population approach in which the health and well-being of their entire workforce is considered.

This presentation will discuss cost-effective methods to identify the best candidates for wellness incentives such as health-risk assessment surveys and leveraging benefit design strategy to inspire and empower employees to take more personal responsibility for their better health.

This educational activity consists of recorded presentations from the 2010 Innovations in Wellness and Disease Management conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 17-18, 2010.
